Izzy draws on 7 years of service as an Air Force Special Warfare Officer and 3 years of leadership in the startup technology space, and is currently pursuing his MBA at Scheller College of Business. EDM played a meaningful role in his own transition out of service, and he founded VEDM so other veterans could find the same kind of community. He leads initiatives that bring music, movement, and peer connection together into experiences where veterans show up, find each other, and create something new beyond the uniform.

Gerry draws on 10 years of service as an Air Force veteran and an MSW with a clinical mental health focus. He brings clinical perspective to program safety, peer connection design, and evaluation methodology, helping VEDM create experiences that are thoughtful, responsible, and grounded in research. His firsthand understanding of military life shapes how VEDM supports veterans building community after service.
